Its location in the middle of nowhere makes it an oasis for the hungry traveler. They have an amazing tradition offering a free dinner to a trucker in need. This and its location when on the way to northwestern Montana is its saving grace. The resturant itself is in need of an update and the food though hearty and fulfilling is lackluster and bland. They are cash only so make sure you have some or are carrying a check. Having a check will save you the ATM fee. If you are hungry and not picky you will be glad to discover this place.Update: 7/12/2020 owner is committed to providing you with quality service and delicious food. Again I point out that this person takes care of first responders and front line workers. I am changing my review from 3 stars to 5 with the firm belief that these people truly care and will make tweaks to satisfy their customers. Thank you Cashway Cafe for taking care of the weary traveler.

Food was burned so much that it was inedible....and our burgers had a weird smell, like wet dog, sort of! However, the one person staff member(waitress/cook/cashier) was friendly and the place was clean! Maybe it just was not a good day to eat burgers here(takeout).....?

I had ham and eggs and American fries and a biscuit and honey... Very nice lady waited on me I like stronger coffee but otherwise a very good meal I shall return

Came by at 12:32 pm, there was the waitress who looked at us but did not greet us at all. There were 5 others in the restaurant. We ordered the special...lasagna, green salad and green beans. Salad was straight from the package. Then the lasagna and green beans were brought out. Lasagna was lukewarm and definitely not homemade or even a major brand one...and green beans straight out of a can. I didn't even eat mine. My husband drives by here on his trucking route and wanted to stop. Never again, a waste of $18

I stopped in for the lunch special; grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup with french fries... and I got a garden salad... Very good food and great price. Friendly employees, truck parking right across the street. I will definitely stop by again.

Food is good, well proportioned portions. Food is always good, served quick. Waitresses are fun and keep drinks full. They have sunday buffet, and people say it really good. I have yet to be threw on a sunday. If you like home made, you will like Cashway cafe. Pies, cookies, meals and rolls home made the way you like it. The Chicken noodle soup is very good.

Terrible. Obviously a sense of urgency is not present in this place. Over 10min just to get a menu. After a glance I new what I would order so I lay the menu to the edge of the table. Another 5 min passed and I left without even ordering

It says 7:00pm was here at6:15pm and closed call and the answering machine said 6:00pm walked over and the sign on the door 1:30pm what the hell need to update Google please!

I love stopping at the Cashway, good food fast, just remember to bring cash, no cards accepted but ATM on site...

We found this gem traveling through the country & we were delighted. Hospitality at its finest! Filled our tummies with the heartiest breakfast...French toast was the greatest! Highly recommend as a savory haven from the highway...keep up the great work guys!

They make a excellent Apple pie from scratch. The other food is frozen from restraint supplier.
